Geneva, Switzerland: A vaccine against COVID-19 might be prepared by year-end, the top of the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Tuesday, without elaborating.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, tending to the furthest limit of a two-day meeting of its Executive Board on the pandemic, stated: "We will need vaccines and there is hope that by the end of this year we may have a vaccine. There is hope."
Nine test antibodies are in the pipeline of the WHO-drove COVAX worldwide immunization office that expects to appropriate 2 billion portions before the finish of 2021.
