Of course, people will think I am talking about the one and only boring place, Bombay or Mumbai as we call it nowadays. Actually, many people don’t know the true beauty of Bombay. Me, being an Indian who was born in Bombay, finds it a wonder of India, forget India a wonder of the world.
Beauty of the culture
Mumbai is one of the busiest cities, rather a metropolitan city. ‘Mumbaikars’ are known for travelling route to route almost every minute. From Ganesh Chaturthi to Diwali, we celebrate it all.
Not only are there many nationalities present in Bombay, there are many religions that live here too, some being - Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, Jainism, Sikhism and much more. Moreover, the culture includes people’s kindness towards one another.
The 4 major languages spoken here are - Marathi, Hindi, English and Gujrati. Marathi is the official language over here and many people speak other languages as well such as Bhojpuri, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and much more.
Climate
Generally, the climate has a range as it stays warm throughout and some monsoon season here and here. Mostly it stays from 21 degrees to 34 degrees.
History
Mumbai/Bombay as many ‘Mumbaikars’ call it was originally made of seven islands - Mumbai Island, Parel, Mazagaon, Mahim, Colaba, Worli and Old Woman’s Island(also known as little Colaba). In 1784, all these islands were made into one by the Hornby Vellard engineering project.
Things to do
The list could be endless however I’ll list a few, you have: Vasai Fort, Gateway of India which if you’re going to Bombay, it’s a must to visit, then Prithvi Theatre, Chor Bazaar, Essel World and so on and so forth.
