Are Rishi Sunak, Kamala Harris Indians?

It has been proven time and again that Indians have one of the greatest minds in the world.

One of the fields we have been excelling in the political arena historically and presently speaking.

Kamala Harris, back row at left, in an undated family photo. Next to her, from left, are her grandmother Rajam Gopalan, grandfather P.V. Gopalan and sister, Maya Harris. With them are Maya’s daughter, Meena, left, and Harris’ cousin Sharada Balachandran Orihuela.(Courtesy of Sharada Balachandran Orihuela) - Sourced from LA Times.

The first woman Vice President of the greatest superpower is an Indian-origin woman popularly known as KAMALA HARRIS. She has made us all proud with her achievements. She has been servicing the people for as long as she can remember. Her motto is “ for the people” and she has been living by it since she was a young adult. She believes in justice and has spent the better part of her career fighting for it. She has immense respect for all communities that are till today considered as outlaws and she stands strong with them. She is a strong yet sensitive person who headed the Division on Children and Families for the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office.

S.R. Nathan was the sixth and longest serving president in Singaporean history. This young boy who started merely as a media social worker in 1955 went on to achieve unimaginable things and made us proud daily as Indians. He was a responsible and active member of the society. He is not only a staunch leader but also a good person at heart who went on to raise about 160 million dollars to go to charity in his first term as president.

This fame is not sudden and has existed through the test of time. Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi, is considered the most excellent leader of all times who made it possible for Indians to attain freedom by the path of non-violence. His philosophies are still prevalent and are practiced worldwide. Another way to put it is that Gandhi continued the legacy of leaders like Maharaja Ranjit Singh or Kanishka The Great.

Indian origin people are not only famous for their political wit but also have been achieving extraordinary highs in various other fields at the global level. Sundar Pichai, the man who needs no introduction in this era was born and brought up in India, and while we are talking about the IT sector let's not forget Satya Nadella who is the CEO of Microsoft is also of Indian origin.

Be it Salman Rushdie the Indian-born British writer who is well known for his contributions and accomplishments throughout the world to English literature or Kalpna Chawal who was the first woman to go to space was also born in India.

Currently, Rishi Sunak the former chancellor of the exchequer is in the race of becoming the first Indian-origin president of the United Kingdom. His analysis is considered impeccable and he has received the support of the people in this continued race.

Each and every Indian origin person has made us all proud and have reached extraordinary heights, broken barriers, answered questions that were considered impossible, and most importantly have shown sensitivity proving that they have not forgotten their roots throughout world history.
